Losing fat

Well, weight loss is a goal of mine. Like everyone else, I enjoy being in good shape and having my clothes fit me appropriately. My recent weight gain/loss has seen me put on about 18 pounds in the last year. Prior to this I had lost 20 pounds over the course of 6 months with a combination of walking, hitting the gym, and stress from starting a new job. I have fallen into a comfortable pattern of minimal workouts and long days at work. I've started eating unhealthy types and quantities of food, and my weight has responded expectedly. I was reading another blog today and found insight in the following quote (which is very obvious, but not so simple for me apparently): "Weight loss is a goal. You get there one pound at a time. Maintaining your weight is a lifestyle. You stay there with determination, one day at a time."

I'm going to work this theme into my meditation hoping to keep it at the forefront of consciousness for awhile.
